Our Story

The Grill Behind the Legend.

Where tradition meets fire — and every meal tells a story.

How It Began

A Kitchen Built on Conviction

Al Quds Grill was born from a simple, uncompromising belief: that the best food comes from real fire. When our founders opened the first location in Roxboro, the mission was clear — serve authentic Mediterranean charcoal-grilled meats the way they were meant to be cooked.

No shortcuts. No gas burners hidden behind a facade. Real charcoal, real smoke, real flavour. We source premium cuts, marinate them with our own house-blend spices every morning, and grill each order to order.

What started as one location quickly grew a devoted following across Montréal — families who came back every Friday, groups who ordered the Super Mix for every celebration, and newcomers discovering what a real charcoal grill tastes like for the very first time. We opened our second location on Rue Bélanger to bring that same experience to the heart of the city.

Today, Al Quds Grill has thousands of reviews and a reputation built entirely on the quality of the food and the warmth of the welcome. We're proud of that — and we're not done yet.

What We Stand For

Our Food Philosophy

Authenticity First

We cook the way it's always been done in the Mediterranean — over real charcoal, with family recipes, without compromise.

Family at the Core

Our portions are built for sharing because we believe the best meals are eaten together. Every platter brings people to the table.

Quality Without Exception

Every marinade is made fresh that morning, every piece of meat is hand-trimmed and seasoned in-house. Never frozen, never pre-made.

Feeding the neighbourhood — while fasting through Ramadan

During Ramadan, Al Quds Grill owner Wael Allou opened his Roxboro kitchen to serve free meals to anyone who needed one — cooking, serving, and giving back to the community all while observing the fast himself. CityNews Montréal visited the West Island grill to share a story of generosity, faith, and the community spirit at the heart of the holy month.

"Al Quds: Roxboro Up in Flames"

Montréal food review site 514eats put our charcoal mashawi to the test — a 1 kg mixed grill platter, well-spiced and properly charred, shared around the table. Their takeaway: authentic flavours, generous portions, and honest, affordable prices rooted in the community we serve.

"Al Quds has the backing and support of the local Arab community — bringing the flavours and aromas of home at a very affordable price."
